Chrismas Is Coming?!!

So Christmas is coming soon, it is 3 months away, yes 3 months! So that means soon we will be trailing around the shops looking for presents. Kind of boring, but I have some advice for Christmas shopping that could help some of you.

First of do it online, or if you're like me, you don't like the 'Christmas Rush' If you do it online you can get it delivered to your house or into a store. This can be so helpful because then you know what else you need to get

Decide what you're getting people before you go. If you're just walking round town, freezing your face off, it would at least help to have a vague idea of what you're getting people. So if you have a list, you wont end up with the "oh this could be good for someone" type thing. Also with that method you usually end up with 15 spare presents.

Remember to buy all the wrapping paper and bows and ribbon etc. in advance, because that costs lots more at Christmas because more people use them. So if you can buy them in afvance you can save money.

Check your local market, they can often sell things like handmade soaps and bath bombs. Which are so cute and super cheap. It is also unique as they don't sell them worldwide.

But still check out your high street shops, they sell gift boxes with soaps and bath bombs and shower gels in Lush and are already gift wrapped for you. There are also things like that in cosmetic companies like benefit. They do 'beauty kits' which are like slightly smaller sizes of the makeup items that go together but are a lot cheaper, and benefits packaging is gorgeous <3

You could do some DIY'ing there are tutorials online for DIY Studded iPhone Cases or Instagram Coasters which are really cute and perfect for that social-media-addict. You could also buy some cheap plain white mugs and black sharpies and decorate them with your friends

But one thing not to do is go down the 'oh I'll give them money' road of things, if you want to be 'the person who always has good gifts' just don't.

Teens would rather have 2 'bigger brand' things that are more expensive than 10 bad quality things that get thrown away. So less is more for teens.

So that's what I know about 'Christmas Shopping'

DIY's

Hey, this is a list of cute DIY's I have found off the internet, by the way I don't own any of these and I will put links to the actual owner underneath. If you do own any of these though and want me to take them down email me and I will :)

1) A Sharpie Mug. This could be done as a gift or a bit of fun, make them with anyone and bake for 30 mins at 350 F. This is a cute fun mug and will be better than the plain old ones you can buy at a store as you made it yourself. I found this of A Beautiful Mess' Blog which is super cute and lovely

2)  I don't need a picture for this one, paint over the your keys (only the bit that doesn't go in the door) with nail polish, perfect for telling your keys apart. But this could be good if you have different keys for buildings, e.g. normally it would be something like pink for front door blue for back door. But if you need keys for where you work and other buildings as well. And you have 18 million keys you could do pink for my house blue for ________'s house and orange for work.

3) Next time you go to a shop that sells paint have a look around for the sample cards with the strips of paint on them, you can have a go at making a cute cheap calendar for your kitchen or bedroom, for the full instructions check out this blog which explains it more clearly

4) Got a load of pictures sitting on your computer and don't know what to do with them? Print them off onto photo paper and blue tack them onto your wall in a cute shape or just a square. I have done this in my room and I did it in a heart and I sometimes switch the pictures out. Also if you're wanting to decorate your wall check on Tumblr for inspiration, they have really good ideas for wall quotes.

5). You can use fairy lights to make your room all cute, just drape them around your room. Remember to turn them off when you're not in your room. Just to be safe

So that was 5 DIY Ideas that you could use to spice up your room

My Makeup Routine

They Call Me Eleanor, so today I'm going to show you everything i put on my face when i wear makeup, these are my staples, what I rely on. I will go through these products so you know the good and bad and who I would recommend these for :)

First, I start with concealer. I use the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer. I would recommend this to people with Normal - Oily Skin, because it lasts so long, I think it clings to your skin too much for people with dry skin, so it could look patchy. The bad points is obviously it can still go cakey on oily skin, as its quite thick but it would be difficult for dry skin. However there are loads more good points: It lasts all day. Its very pigmented. It is easy to apply with a spongy applicator and has very light shades, which could be a good or bad but for me it's a good. (also sorry the packaging has rubbed off)

Next I put Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation on, I don't do this everyday though as it can give you wrinkles, which I don't want, but because I don't think it's necessary for everyday wear. However if I'm having a bad skin day I will put this on with my Real Techniques Expert Face Brush to blend this into my skin. I would recommend this for slightly dry up to slightly oily. This is because it doesn't cling or cake unless its majorly oily/dry, this lasts for about 5-6 hours and is a dewy finish. It looks very natural if you have the right shade, however i do wish they would come out with lighter and darker shades because then it would be perfect. Everything is good apart from the shade selection
Afterwards I will set it all with my Rimmel Stay Matte Powder, I love love love this. It helps with oily skin and sets your foundation and concealer. I would definitely recommend this if you have oily skin. For dry skin I would though but only a small amount to set you foundation.

Next up comes lip balm(s) I put these on before I do my eyes because they obviously need time to soak in and moisturize, I use the Nivea Lip Butter in Caramel Cream. I would recommend this if your lips get dry and chapped, if your lips aren't too bad though, I wouldn't recommend it.The good points is it moisturizes so much it's unbelievable. My only criticism would be it is really white so I couldn't put this on, on the go.

Then I do my eyebrows. I don't use a powder of pencil for this, because I'm wierd like that, I will use mascara, yes mascara, I use the Maybelline Rocket Volume Express, and I put this on a flat angled brush and dab it on my hand until theirs only a small amount on the brush. I lightly brush this through my brows so they aren't really dark but just a bit more defined.

Then I put on blush, I use the Collection Blush in 02 Bashful, I'm just trying this out at the moment but it isn't overly pigmented but it adds a little colour and looks kind of sweet, if you have dry skin don't apply a powder over the top of this or the other way round, because you will looks even drier. It looks very natural as well and has a slight shimmer to it

Then comes the Burt's Bees Honey Lip Balm. I purchased mine from Fenwicks and it is the best £4 I ever spent, this has saved my lips, It is so moisturizing and amazing. It doesn't have any colour to it but is still amazing, I love it.

Then comes the mascara and eyeliner, I have the same thing to say about them both really, I use the Maybelline Falsies Flared mascara and the Collection Extreme 24 Hour Felt Tip Liner. Both look great, are easy to apply and last all day. A great combination

Baby Lips Time, I apply Pink Punch (the pink one) or Cherry Me (the red one) to my lips and let it do its magic I love this but if you apply it throughout the day I think your lips dry out when you stop using it. So its great but only temporary moisture in your lips

Bye for now
